Relative Strength Watchlist Workshop
A full day of hands-on training to rank, compare, and monitor relative strength across a structured equity watchlist.
Who this workshop is for
Intermediate traders who already use candlestick charts and maintain a personal watchlist, but struggle to decide which names deserve attention when several sectors move at once. You should be comfortable with basic trend lines and daily timeframe charts before attending.
The workshop suits swing traders and position traders working UK-listed equities — FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and selected AIM names. Day traders focused on tick-level execution will find the session too slow-paced.
What you will learn
- Construct a 25–40 name watchlist spanning three FTSE sectors with clear inclusion criteria
- Plot relative strength lines against the FTSE 350 index and interpret slope changes
- Rank watchlist names weekly using a consistent RS comparison table
- Identify rotation signals when sector leaders lose RS momentum
- Establish a 45-minute Sunday review routine you can repeat independently
What is included
- Seven hours of instructor-led session (09:30–16:30 with lunch break)
- Printed workbook with RS ranking templates and example watchlists
- Live chart walkthroughs using current FTSE sector data
- Individual feedback on your pre-submitted watchlist (up to 30 names)
- Tea, coffee, and light refreshments throughout the day
What is not included
- Charting software subscriptions or broker accounts
- Specific trade recommendations or portfolio advice
- Follow-up coaching sessions (available separately)
How the day unfolds
Morning: watchlist construction
Review inclusion criteria, sector selection, and name filtering. Each participant refines their submitted watchlist down to a focused 25–35 name list with documented rationale.
Midday: RS line plotting
Plot relative strength lines for each watchlist name against the FTSE 350. Learn to read slope, divergence, and crossovers without overcomplicating the chart.
Afternoon: ranking and rotation
Build a comparative RS ranking table, identify top-three leaders per sector, and practise spotting early rotation signals when RS lines flatten or decline.
